Daisy Yellow Tangents Week 4--Grid collage

This week's tangent is a grid collage.  We begin by painting a grid of squares with acrylics.  I am becoming more and more comfortable and confident with painting--I amaze myself!
Them collage a small bit of something--magazine cutouts, scrapbook paper, words, tissue, painted papers--whatever moves you--in each section.

Grid Collage #1
Images taken from a Smithsonian magazine (bought at Savers, a chain of thrift stores that supports community charities, for Twenty cents each!)
I recently bought two circle punches, 1 and 1 1/2 inch, and I am IN LOVE with them!

Grid Collage # 2
THese images were all taken from an "O" (Oprah) mag, from the same trip to Savers, punched out with the 1" punch.

Sill can't draw a straight line...

  1. I like the colors and brush strokes in your painting. And who would've thought "O" was filled with so much corn?

  3. I love the circles. I've collaged for years, and never invested in circle punches. They're on my wish list, though! Your pages are bright and colorful. :) I've always thought Oprah magazines have cool graphics.
