Daisy Yellow Tangents Week 4--Grid collage
This week's tangent is a grid collage. We begin by painting a grid of squares with acrylics. I am becoming more and more comfortable and confident with painting--I amaze myself!
Them collage a small bit of something--magazine cutouts, scrapbook paper, words, tissue, painted papers--whatever moves you--in each section.
Grid Collage #1
Images taken from a Smithsonian magazine (bought at Savers, a chain of thrift stores that supports community charities, for Twenty cents each!)
I recently bought two circle punches, 1 and 1 1/2 inch, and I am IN LOVE with them!
Grid Collage # 2
THese images were all taken from an "O" (Oprah) mag, from the same trip to Savers, punched out with the 1" punch.
Sill can't draw a straight line...

Daisy Yellow Art Journal Tangents and tactics
Tangent # 2 Half empty/half full
As I thought about this idea all week, I kept turning toward these two themes-all the things that there are not enough of in the world, AND all the wonderful gifts that god gives us each and every day. Even if my glass is only half full of these gifts, I am so thankful...
here are my pages
HALF EMPTY
also painted with acrylics, spread with a card, brushed on and stenciled through a paper doily.
The lettering is stenciled and hand written and highlighted with washi tape and black sharpie.
