Is this not the most fabulous quote! But, with all those Jane Austen roles there MUST have been a real B*tch in there somewhere.

SPA-- Vintage Men

Ah...fathers and sons...so nice when they share similar interests. These steampunk boys spend a lot of time in the garage, with much banging and clanging of tools.

Credits to Terri Kahrs for the wonderful image, and to Land of Nod Studios, Cecelia Swatton and Cynthia Power for the steampunk bits and Google images for everything else.

Not sure where this came from or quite what it means...metamorphosis maybe? Pondering the past, present and future?
...deep thoughts...

Credits to Dover for the architecture, wings and caterpiller. Tanya at T4L and Shadowhouse Creations for the background textures; Bocaccino at t4l for the text bit.
The woman is from a Waterhouse painting.

A little Noodling around with Photoshop

Over at Digital Whisper this week's challenge is to play with texture layers that give the effect of "light leaks". Do you remember those, like lens flares, back when we were all using film. It's been fun, and some of the effects have been spectacular. Here are some of mine, from my own photos.

Collage Obsession--Time

Where the time goes?

Where does the time go? A question we ask ourselves daily...how did it get so late--how can I be 60--is it summer again already--yikes, it's almost Christmas...

Time goes so fast. Please try to slow yourselves down and enjoy what you are doing.

Image by Mucha; hourglass from Wikimedia. background bits from Eddie07 at T4L and Trine Secher.

Some random new work

SPA- Boats

Sunset Sail

I'm so honored to be asked to host this week's Sunday Postcard Art Challenge.
I've chosen the theme of Boats; there is nothing so soothing to me as watching a sailboat skimming the water into a beautiful sunset.

The sailboat and stamp were Googled; the sunset (actually a sunrise) photo is my own; texture pieces are by Shadowhouse Creations and Encounter_Laura at Textures for Layers.

Inspiration Avenue--In the Rainbow Land

Inspiration Avenue's challenge this week is Over the Rainbow.

Rainbows always make me think of Fairies, and Fairies always make me think of wishing to run off to the Fairy lands and live forever. Nice dream...

Three Muses Challenge- Written Word

I found this gorgeous printed paper on Nicecrane's site--and it's a freebie. Part of an old storybook of Aesop's Fables, it shows a bit of "The Fox and the Crow"
The fox was found on Wikimedia Commons, the crackle bit is from Elizabeth Golden, and the crow is from First Floor Flat
