Welcome back, AJ!
A wonderful choice for this week's theme. I have always thought that Olivia posessed an ethereal beauty and a compelling serenity that made her stand out from others in her era. I tried to capture and enhance both those qualities in my entries for this Challenge.

Kim Klassen Bryond Layers life--Babies
My photo, taken last week, a family of geese enjoying the grass on the strip between our parking lot and the Charles river near my office. I counted 14 goslings. I am reminded of a favorite quote from the book, Jurassic Park--"no matter what you do--life finds a way."
Textures used are Kim Klassen's Sunday and Charmed, and JoesSistah's Blue Border.

This one kind of made itself...I just kept adding and subtracting bits until it looked finished.

Three Muses--Lock and Key
I found out about this tradition from Abby's blog http://thevivere.blogspot.com/--a Russian tradition called LOCKS FOR LOVE. Here, bridges, fences and
sometimes trees are covered with different padlocks...heart shaped, house shaped
as well as normal shapes. When a couple marries, they close their lock in one of
these spots and throw the key away, symbolic of making their love untouchable as
well as
irreversible... LOVELY!!
The fence is my photo, much altered, the rest is googled.

Edit me--Magic
A beautiful photo this week. I cropped it, duplicated the cropped piece, applied filters (photocopy, Gaussian blur and a warming filter) and blending modes (multiply, soft light, screen) The stars are a brush and the border is a stroke with Gaussian blur applied.
Here's the original photo.

Three muses--Vintage Glam
Dorian Leigh (born Dorian Elizabeth Leigh Parker) (April 23, 1917 - July 7, 2008) was an American model and one of the earliest modelling icons of the fashion industry. She is considered one of the first supermodels and was well known in the United States and Europe.

52 Photos week 2 Let the sun in
So, of course, since this week's prompt is sunshine--it's been gray and misty and rainy all week. So this is an old photo, sunlight through a window into a dark room. Some playing with levels and blending layers, and a bit of bokeh from Shadowhouse, just because I love it.

Photo Arts Friday--Another favorite Book
Can you guess what book inspired this piece? No big surprize, huh? It's Jurassic Park! I love this book--it's my Go To beach read every summer. I love the message, the characters, the excitement and drama!
While I did not photograph these actual dinosaurs, I did take shots of them and others when we were at Universal Studios. The background is two photos I took in Arcadia National Park in Maine, of ferns and a fabulous paper birch.

52 Starlets--Agnes Moorehead
She really was a beauty--cool and a little sinister...I always thought of her as icy.
Two Fotosketcher layers and a gradient.

Edit me--Kaylene's photo
This week's "Edit Me" photo is from Kaylene. It's a photo with "good bones"-- it has great lines that help your eye move around, and a nearly perfect "rule of thirds" layout. Lovely reflections, too.
I tried to give it a little more drama--a Fotosketcher layer to bring out the edges and shadows, and a warm, Cinnamon texture from Pixel Dust to give it some light and texture.
