Connect/ connection/connected is our theme this week ay PAF.  I am focusing on the beauty inherent in the small and mundane things we look at every day but don't see.  So-- and electric outlet and a power strip--these everyday tools that help us connect to our larger world.

Photo Art Friday--Tiger, Tiger

My photo, taken at King Richard's Faire, an annual Renaissance festival in Southeast Massachusetts.  It's a juvenile tiger, although it was HUGE, and was white!  I used a layer of Bamboo Dreams and one of Blank Page, the posterize filter and the hue and some other blend modes that I can't even remember.

Mandarin Orange Monday--On the 'T'

Public transportation in Boston is known as the MBTA, or most affectionatelyas "the T".  The subway line routes are differentiated by color--red, green blue, silver and ...wait for it...orange.  This is actually a sepia toned photo of a green line car, tarted up with  diffuse glow  and poster edges filters and an orange gradient map.

A Milestone for me--1000th Post--and a Giveaway!

I just posted my 1000th post!

I never thought I wouold be able to keep it all up this long--my first post was on December 24, 2009.

One thousand one hundred and sixty seven days--I'm so excited and proud.

Thank you everyone who took a moment to view and sometimes leave a comment on my art, who shared some joys and some sorrows with me, whoase kind words and engouragement have helped me grow so much as an artist...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL!

I love the organic look of the texture against the sharp lines of Dropped Petals and Image # 3.
