My front cover.
My book is a Moleskine hard cover journal/sketchbook that I picked up at the gift shop at Falling Water, the Frank Lloyd Wright house where I volunteered last year (and will again when it reopens to the public next spring.
It has some sketches printed it it, of the house and the grounds. Some I will keep as is, or journal on them, and some I will collage and paint over.
I covered it with gesso--then stenciled and painted, and collaged the words. It still needs a coat of matte medium to seal it.
The second week's prompts are: What we will say YES and NO to this year.
The red bits and star are from a mail art envelope from my mail friend, Honi, and the grid paper was found in a library book. The background is black and white gesso over collaged book pages. Next time I will cover the collaged papers with clear gesso before adding the white or black.
Looks like a fun and fabulous journaling adventure!
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting. I Love your printing, btw.
