Playing with a new Technique

Using the Displace filter- one of the tools in the Distort filter drop down menu-- to create the look of an image painted onto a textured surface, like a wall. I found the technique in a Photoshop Elements Techniques magazine that I subscribe to, so I don't feel that I can freely share it, but the site for the magazine offers a lot of free tutorials and this may well be one. photoshopelementsuser.com

The brick window is a freebie from Elizabeth Golden, the sign is from Dover and the apples were googled.

  3. This is gorgeous, Linda. I subscribe to the magazine and I also bought the associated software which is a plug-in to Photoshop Elements. It is a wonderful, easy to use program with one click filters to change pictures dramatically.
