This week's tangent is a grid collage. We begin by painting a grid of squares with acrylics. I am becoming more and more comfortable and confident with painting--I amaze myself!
Them collage a small bit of something--magazine cutouts, scrapbook paper, words, tissue, painted papers--whatever moves you--in each section.
Grid Collage #1
Images taken from a Smithsonian magazine (bought at Savers, a chain of thrift stores that supports community charities, for Twenty cents each!)
I recently bought two circle punches, 1 and 1 1/2 inch, and I am IN LOVE with them!
Grid Collage # 2
THese images were all taken from an "O" (Oprah) mag, from the same trip to Savers, punched out with the 1" punch.
Sill can't draw a straight line...
I like the colors and brush strokes in your painting. And who would've thought "O" was filled with so much corn?
ReplyDeleteGreat pages, fun colors and I like the combo of grid and circles!
ReplyDeleteI love the circles. I've collaged for years, and never invested in circle punches. They're on my wish list, though! Your pages are bright and colorful. :) I've always thought Oprah magazines have cool graphics.
ReplyDeleteLinda I love that you used the circle punches for this - turned out really great. And your image selections are fantastic and fun!
