ihanna's Spring 2014 Postcard Swap

As you may know.  I have been practicing Mail Art for the last year or so.  I love making postcards and sending them out in the world--and getting art in the mail from swappers and random MA friends.  There are some wonderful sites for making mail art connections--there'a a link button on my sidebar to Mail Me Some Art, Karen Isaccson's fabulous swapping group, and there are numerous facebook pages devoted to this genre.

I have been following ihanna's blog for a few years now.  It's a joyful creative place--you'd like it!  Twice a year she hosts a postcard swap, with international swappers (She's in Sweden).  You join the swap list-there's a small fee to insure participation--and make 10 handmade original postcards.  Right before Swap Day (May 1 for this one) Hanna will send you 10 addresses to send your cards.  In return she will send your address to 10 othre swappers and you will receive 10 beautiful pieces of art!  I can't wait.
Here's a link to visit her blog; it's too late to join the spring swap, but there 's another one coming in the fall.

Here are my 10 cards--pretty random, but I hope (ha!) to become more organized and try a series in the future.

  8. I like the way you combine stitching and collage. I'm drawn to the mysterious "Secrets" lady -- does she HAVE a secret, or is SHE the secret herself?
